Fast Estimation of Phase Angle for Three-Phase Voltage Systems Under Distorted Conditions

This article proposes a fast and robust technique for instantaneous phase angle estimation of three-phase voltage systems under unbalanced distorted conditions. It mainly relies on the Clarke transformation, Teager energy operator, delayed signal cancellation (DSC) approach. Unlike an adaptive DSC-based synchronous-reference frame phase-locked loop (PLL), proposed avoids interdependent loops, thus increasing overall stability easing tuning process. Moreover, it removes PLL and, hence, eliminates requirement in-loop filter (low- pass filter) and/or (proportional–integral controller). As result, these filters is not required, quicker response produced. The also inverse trigonometric function operation. In addition, shows harmonics immunity at steady state can generate dynamic with settling time less than one nominal fundamental cycle. Both simulation experimental results are presented to reveal benefits technique.
